Checklist:
5 Things to consider from 2025 for a happy 2026

...and why they matter

Have you identified situations where staff held back from speaking up?

Moments when staff felt they couldn’t raise something often signal cultural or behavioural gaps more than the issues that were raised.

Can you pinpoint when your team felt most seen, heard and safe — and when they felt the opposite?

Patterns of feeling supported (or not) highlight where intervention or behaviour-training could move the dial.

If someone witnessed or experienced unacceptable behaviour tomorrow, would they know exactly what to do and feel able to act?

Having a policy is one thing; having the confidence, clarity and culture to act is another.

Have you thought about next year’s social events, off-site gatherings and year-end functions, and ensured your team is ready and able to act if the need arises?

Even when an event happens outside normal working hours or away from the workplace, if it is connected to work, it can still come under your organisation’s rules and responsibilities.

Do you feel confident and equipped to respond to or prevent any of the issues above?

Without the skills, confidence and process in place, the risk to your team increases - lower productivity, increased staff turnover and a toxic culture takes hold.
